Quillt Media, a St. Louis-based digital media company, announces the hire of Anne Toal – formerly of Delta Air Line’s Sky Magazine and Xplorie – as its new Chief Revenue Officer.
In her new role, Toal will be focused on scaling sales operations and securing strategic partnerships for Quillt’s flagship web properties, which include TravelAwaits.com, a travel inspiration and planning platform focused on the 50+ traveler, Seasons.com, a platform designed to support family caregivers of aging loved ones, and Suggest.com, a lifestyle and entertainment publication for midlife women.
“We’re excited to have Anne spearheading our growth as we continue to build our brands and our revenue streams,” said Kasey Grelle, CEO of Quillt. “Anne has a proven track record of growing sales and digital media revenue. We see a tremendous opportunity in front of us and look forward to having Anne lead us in our continued success.”
Prior to joining Quillt, Toal served as the publisher and CRO of Sky Magazine, where she transformed the publication into a multimedia operation with digital offerings, sweepstakes and new revenue streams through strategic integrations and native content. She also served as the CRO for Xplorie, the largest activity provider platform for the vacation rental industry. In that role she revived sales and marketing efforts post-COVID-19 and was focused on scaling sales, marketing and implementation teams.
She brings more than 10 years of sales leadership experience to Quillt, and her focus on clients in the travel and tourism industry will also support Quillt’s strategic growth of TravelAwaits.
“I’ve loved connecting brands to consumers throughout my entire career, so I’m especially thrilled to do that now for Quillt,” Toal said. “Reaching potential customers at the right time, in the right environment and with the right message is key to any advertisers’ success. I look forward to building thoughtful and cost-effective advertising solutions and partnerships for brands wanting to connect with the often-overlooked, but oh-so-valuable, midlife audiences of TravelAwaits, Seasons and Suggest.”
One of Toal’s first efforts is securing a select number of sponsors for the TravelAwaits’ Best of Travel Awards. Voting takes place in March and winners are announced in May.
